The outdoors, without the parts you don't want
A patio only gets used if it's actually comfortable to sit on. Dabney's rolling and retractable screens are built to fix the specific things that keep people from staying outside: harsh afternoon sun, mosquitoes at dusk, wind driven rain, and glare bouncing off a pool. Solar screens cut heat, UV and glare. Bug screens keep the evening bearable. Vinyl screens hold up against wind and rain. Interior screens and shades handle the spaces just inside the threshold.
Every screen is custom fit to the opening it covers, in a fabric chosen for what that space actually needs, not a one size fits all roll pulled off a shelf.
Chapter 03
Built for the way Golden Triangle families use their outdoor space
Southeast Texas heat, humidity and sudden rain make an open patio a gamble more days than not. Dabney fits rolling screens on patios, pergolas and lanais, over outdoor kitchens and poolside living areas, along patio walkways, and around garages and workshops that double as gathering space. Roll the screen down when the sun or the bugs move in, and roll it back up the moment the evening turns pleasant.
It's the same logic as a garage door itself: an opening that closes when you need it closed and opens the rest of the time, without becoming a permanent wall either way.
One crew, screens and shutters both
Christopher Gillingham had Dabney install his security screens, a screen door and a rolling security shutter, and said the crew did an excellent job. That's typical of how these jobs run: one visit, one crew, everything measured and fit at the same time rather than juggling separate contractors for the screen and the shutter.
It matters because a rolling screen and a rolling shutter share the same basic mechanics, a track, a housing and a roll mechanism, and a crew that installs both every week gets the fit right the first time.
Custom fit, start to finish
Every opening gets measured on site, not estimated off a floor plan. Fabric, mount style and control are chosen for that specific patio, pergola, lanai or outdoor kitchen, so the finished screen actually disappears into the space when it's rolled away and does its job completely when it's rolled down.
Dabney has fitted these across the Golden Triangle for years, alongside the hurricane shutters and garage doors the company is better known for. Same owners, same crew, same standard on a screen job as on a door.
